About the specialist group BIOSIG
The specialist group BIOSIG (biometrics and electronic signatures) is assigned to the security department of GI e.V. It deals with the topics of foundations, methods, techniques, processes, and implementations to ensure the authenticity and integrity of participating entities in the use of information, communication, and operating systems for applications with security needs as well as their organizational and legal framework. Moreover, it is concerned with constructive procedures and threat analyses. The specialist group considers itself to be a technical discussion forum for scientists, developers, users, and representatives of supervisory authorities and regulators in German-speaking countries for this area of research and application.
