Workshop on Face Image Quality

When dealing with operational systems, the quality of biometric samples plays an important role to
ensure the usability of the collected data in reference databases. Over the years the biometric
community established a common sense about the need of biometric quality assessment. This is also
reflected in the standardization work of ISO/IEC JTC1 SC37 and the biometric sample quality
standards of ISO/IEC 29794.
The aim of this workshop is to discuss the development of a freely available, portable and expandable
implementation of algorithms for quality assessment according to ISO/IEC 29794-1: 2016, which can
be contributions to the face image quality standard ISO/IEC 29794-5: 202x, which is currently under
development.
Attendance is free of charge but registration is required.
